Vinification: The production process of LeLuSi involved a long maceration period of the must with the skins. After the conclusion of alcoholic fermentation the wine was put into the new French oak barriques to undergo malolactic, or secondary fermentation. Once the malolactic fermentation was completed the wine was transferred once again into additional new French oak barriques lightly toasted.
The object of the process is to enhance a purer, cleaner wine where the typical characteristics and aromatic components of Aglianico del Vulture wine can preserved at the first level, along with their own tannins, without an extreme contrast with the tannins from the barriques , and, in this way, an equilibrium between tradition and modernity is reached.
